CASTING CALL - AUCKLAND - 24th AUGUST

Hello and welcome to BGT Actors, Models and Talent Open Casting Call.

To apply please read everything below. You must complete our application form and select your preferred time before you arrive for the casting.

Who is BGT?
BGT Actors Models & Talent is New Zealand’s leading film and TV talent agency established in 1998 by Sarah Valentine. When Lord of the Rings fever hit New Zealand, Sarah recruited over 300 extras in preparation. The agency she always wanted to start, to help other people's dreams come true, was then formed as Background Talent. In 2015 a name ‘tweak’ to BGT heralded the new face of a highly regarded agency with an unsurpassed reputation to encompass the three divisions of Actors, Models and Talent/extras.

Based in the thriving hub of West Auckland, right next to Auckland Film Studios, BGT pride themselves on a professional, ethical, friendly and attentive approach to talent casting. We supply talent for local and overseas TV series, short and feature films, music videos, documentaries and TV commercials for the national and international markets. If it’s shot in New Zealand, we usually have someone, somewhere being something.

What is this casting for?
We have a number of extremely exciting projects we are working on and because we keep our books quite small we are ramping up our numbers due to the number of productions that are happening and the amount of available talent we need.

Our talent currently works and have worked on the following movies and tv shows.....
Shortland Street, Brokenwood Mysteries, Power Rangers, The Legends Of Monkey, Disneys - Mulan, The Meg, King Kong, Narnia, Lord Of the Rings, The Hobbit, Mission Impossible, we also provide extras, featured extras, small part performers, and leads for many TV Commercials as well - these are just a few of the jobs that we have worked on. Am I what you are looking for? YES!
We are looking for all sorts of people aged 18-99, all nationalities, all Ethnicities, all shapes and all sizes. You must live in Auckland as the work is in Auckland NZ, must have good reliable transport, you must not be registered to another talent agency.

Below we have a number of different types of people we need.

BIKER BOYS - Big, hairy, burly, are you the kind of guy that can look big and dangerous
SHORTIES - Are you 5 Foot (153cm) or shorter?
TALL - Are you over 6 Foot (183cm) or taller?
VIKINGS - Could you be the Hulk? We need huge scary-looking guys and gals - think vikings but huge!
DANCERS - European / Scandinavian, Blonde - Are you a tall dancer? ballet and jazz a plus.
MODEL TYPES - 5 foot 10 plus, Could you look like a catwalk model, pale, slim and all that jazz - if you can horse ride let us know at the casting
ACTION EXTRAS - Do you have any stunt experience, weapons experience
SHORTLAND STREET - All ages, shapes, sizes - we need patients, nurses, doctors and cafe patrons
HORSE RIDERS - you must be GOOD! we don't want people falling off, we only want excellent riders

You will be needed for background extra and featured work for upcoming TV productions shooting in Auckland. Spread the word to all your mates - this will be awesome!!

Once you have a BGT profile with us we will submit you for ALL suitable roles.
This open casting is specifically for Adults. If you have a child that wishes to register with us please select the BT kid profile. We will be running our normal schedule for children (and may run and open casting for kids soon)
